Welcome
Vera Plattner Buser, born 1972 in Berne,
lives with her family in Muttenz near Basle.
“Through my pictures I’m trying to make the stones, their shapes and colours talk. I’m picking them from among the masses creating a new worthy space for them. The stones thank me by radiating their full beauty.
Time and again, I’m touched by their naturally given expressiveness.
Working intensively with the stones opens my heart every time and shows me the amazing energy and beauty of nature.
My works express the profound gratitude and joy I feel for nature.”
About Me
Vera and the Stones
In spring 2004, I’ve seen the movie “Rivers and Tides” about Andy Goldsworthy for the first time. It was an epiphany, a meditation, an excitement. In this moment I knew: “I want to try this, too!”
Luckily fate took me to a pebble beach in Denmark. At first sight, it was a grey rough Nordic beach. However, looking more closely, one finds a festival of colours and shapes. I’ve never seen anything like it. This beach literally blew me away. The stones, the wind, the water, the wildness and roughness have touched me deeply. Thus, my first pictures emerged. Working intensively with the stones opens my heart every time and shows me the amazing energy and beauty of nature.
Through my pictures I’m trying to make the stones, their shapes and colours talk. Time and again, I’m touched by their naturally given expressiveness. It is my task to pick them from among the masses and create a new worthy space for them.
My works express the profound gratitude and joy I feel for nature. With this in mind, I would like to wish you powerful and meditative moments when relishing and contemplating my pictures.
Love
Vera
